This blog is meant to be a guide for new Goal Line Blitz 2 players. I am not an expert by any means but I am experienced and I hope that this will be useful to new players. If you are an experienced player and wish to contribute in a positive way, please do so. If you are a new player and you have questions please feel free to post them here.
Special thanks to Stobie's glb2scout.com. This guide would not be possible without Stobie.

In this post, we will look at 2 Tight end archetypes; Receiving and Blocking. I am not going to post a combo build. If I was going to go with a combo Tight end it would be a Superstar build. If I do not have a Superstar TE I like to rotate 2 Receiving TEs. In a future post, we can explore Superstar Tight ends.
Receiving Tight end
Important Skills for Receiving TEs
I think of my Receiving TE like another Possession WR. I always start with the physicals...
Conditioning to 45+
Toughness to 30
Heart to 40 +
Balance to 40+
Watch your game film to see if he is getting open and add more sprint when needed. Focus on Hands, Consistency and Catch in Traffic. Make sure to keep an eye on Receiving and carrying grip.
Blocking Tight end (I would use this build in a Run Heavy Offense)
Important Skills for Blocking TEs
Always start with the physicals...
Conditioning to 45+
Toughness to 30
Heart to 40 +
Balance to 40+
This guy is 100% run blocking, no pass blocking no receiving. Focus on Run Block Tech, Run Block Aware, Lead Block Aware, Consistency and Run Block Power to 50ish.

Boo. I have had good results with non-S* combo TEs on teams that need a blocker to hold the edge and catch the 3rd and whatever. Most teams run a somewhat balanced offense that pure receiver and pure blocker TEs don't serve well. Combo TEs rule. :)
