O-Line for Beginners

Disclaimer:
This blog is meant to be a guide for new Goal Line Blitz 2 players.  I am not an expert by any means but I am experienced and I hope that this will be useful to new players.   If you are an experienced player and wish to contribute in a positive way, please do so.    If you are a new player and you have questions please feel free to post them here.
Special thanks to Stobie's glb2scout.com.  This guide would not be possible without Stobie.

My plans are to begin with builds for various positions then talk about how to build a team.  After going over various team builds I will move on to offensive and defensive playbooks and tactics.  This should keep us busy for awhile.  I am sure other topics will present themselves along the way.

For a deeper understanding of how to build players check out AirMcMVP's Player Building Guide.

I believe that there are a lot of different O-Line builds out there.  In this post, I will be sharing with you the builds that I use.  I encourage readers, both experienced and inexperienced, to post appropriate questions and comments so that we can all build a better O-Line.

Center
Important Skills for a Center
I start by getting Conditioning to 45+ (the higher the better), Toughness to 40+, Heart to 30 and Balance to 40 - 50.
For Blocking Skills I focus on Run Block Tech, Pass Block Tech, Run Block Awareness, Pass Block Awareness and Block Consistency.  More Tech than Aware and More Run than Pass.  I personally do not invest much in Run Block Power or Pass Block Power.
A small investment in Snap Reaction, Footwork and Quickness is helpful.

Pulling Guard
Important Skills for a Pulling Guard
Like with my Center,  I start by getting Conditioning to 45+ (the higher the better), Toughness to 40+, Heart to 30 and Balance to 40 - 50.
For Blocking Skills I focus on Run Block Tech, Run Block Awareness,  Block Consistency and Lead Block Awareness.  I personally do not invest much in Run Block Power or Pass Block Power.
Sprinting, Footwork and Quickness are important in that order.  Watch your games and make sure that your guard is getting out front to block for your HB.

Combo Off Tackle
Important Skills for Combo Off Tackle
I start all of my O-line builds by getting Conditioning to 45+ (the higher the better), Toughness to 40+, Heart to 30 and Balance to 40 - 50.
For Blocking Skills I focus on Run Block Tech, Pass Block Tech, Run Block Awareness, Pass Block Awareness and Block Consistency.  With my OTs I try to balance their Run Blocking and Pass Blocking Skills.  A lot of the blitzes that you will see come from the outside so it is very important for your QB that your OTs can at least slow down the outside rush.
I personally do not invest much in Run Block Power or Pass Block Power.
