Fullbacks for Beginners

Disclaimer:
This blog is meant to be a guide for new Goal Line Blitz 2 players.  I am not an expert by any means but I am experienced and I hope that this will be useful to new players.   If you are an experienced player and wish to contribute in a positive way, please do so.    If you are a new player and you have questions please feel free to post them here.
Special thanks to Stobie's glb2scout.com.  This guide would not be possible without Stobie.

My plans are to begin with builds for various positions then talk about how to build a team.  After going over various team builds I will move on to offensive and defensive playbooks and tactics.  This should keep us busy for awhile.  I am sure other topics will present themselves along the way.

For a deeper understanding of how to build players check out AirMcMVP's Player Building Guide.

This one is easy and maybe a bit boring.  For beginners, I recommend starting with your bread and butter blocking Fullback.  In my experience, there are not enough good plays for rushing or receiving FBs.  Maybe in a future post we can investigate receiving HBs and FBs for use in Pass Heavy offenses.
Without further ado...

Blocking Fullback
Important Skills for Blocking Fullbacks
*  Run Block Tech
*  Run Block Awareness
*  Lead Block Awareness
*  Block Consistency
* Conditioning
* Toughness 40
*  Heart  30
*  Balance 40
* Sprint and some quickness in order to lead block

In this post, I will focus on the two main Half Back archetypes for beginners.  If there is enough interest I will write a future post on Superstar Halfback builds.  The two main HB archetypes are Power Back and Elusive Back.  People have tried to build receiving Scat Backs.  I would only suggest a receiving Scat Back build if it was for a Pass Heavy team.

Elusive Back
Important Skills for Elusive Backs
* Conditioning
* Sprinting
* Elusive Running
* Carry Awareness
* Quickness
* Balance 40
*  Carry Grip 30+

Power Back
Important Skills for Power Backs

The first position I will discuss is Quarterback.  In my opinion, there are three main archetypes for the position (Pure Pocket Passer, Pure Rusher, and Combo).   I will post proposed builds for each archetype below.

Pocket Passer
If you are a new player and you want to build a QB that can be successful, I recommend that you start here.
Important skills for Pocket Passer QB
The first 4 are the big 4.  Most of your SPs should be invested in them.
*Pass Technique
*Pass Accuracy
*Pass Consistency
*Pass Awareness
*Pass Power (I am for 30 and then adjust if I notice my QB floating too many passes)
*Drop Back Grip (I aim for 30 and then adjust if I find myself fumbling a lot)
*Conditioning (I start with 45)
*Heart  40
*Tough 30
* Balance 30
*Leadership  (always good if / when you have extra SP to spend)

Pure Rusher (I have no experience with a Pure Rush QB, as I personally do not think that one would be enjoyable to play.  But if I did, this would be my shot at the AT)
Important skills for Pure Rush QB
*Sprint
*Elusive Running
* Quickness
*Footwork
*Carry Grip 30
*Conditioning (I start with 45)
*Heart  40
*Tough 40
* Balance 40
*Leadership  (always good if / when you have extra SP to spend)

Combo (I personally would not build a Combo QB unless it was a Superstar.)
Going Superstar gives you 20% lower Skill Points cost this combos well with Slow Built which makes your SPs cost 5% more BUT gives all skills +10 max points.  The reduction in points and the +10 max helps you get all of the passing and rushing skills you need.  In my experience, this is impossible to accomplish without Superstar.
